Lone Tree on Beach

Description

I reached the edge of the island in Jamaica with nothing left to carry forward. The sea was still. The sky was closing the day.

The tree had already adapted to this place. Bent by wind, rooted in sand, shaped by salt. It survived by yielding, not resisting. Jamaica taught it that balance comes from adjustment, not force.

I broke there without spectacle. What failed was the need to stand rigid.

I left changed. The tree stayed. This image is the moment after collapse, where endurance becomes strength.
